Jack works continuously on ingestion, categorisation and reconciliation — the work that benefits from never sleeping. How much he does on his own beyond that is his autonomy, and it is set by the trust you extend: the trust level, set per kind of work, from proposing everything to acting within limits you choose. Anything that moves money still sits behind explicit approval.
The dial is itself on the record. The setting is logged, every change to it is logged, and every entry says which mode produced it — so "he did that on his own" is never something you find out afterwards. Access is scoped OAuth; you grant exactly what Jack — or your agent — may touch, and nothing more.
